Briefly introduce yourself, your company and offer promotional literature as a leave-behind. Ask intelligent and relevant questions about their business. Make sure you get the picture. (If you do all the talking you've already lost the plot). Don't interrupt! Jot down notes to prompt you at the RELEVANT time. Know your product. How it works, with what it works, how it is produced. Most importantly – how can your product improve their business? Look for the spectrum of sales opportunities. Try to establish the financial parameters and offer services within these boundaries. Visualise mutually beneficial teamwork, talk as a team. Be honest, sincere and careful with those ballpark figures! Never subconsciously decline any business before it has been offered to you - every deal counts. Close the meeting in summary, to make sure you've hit the mark. Turn around the quote ASAP (it's the beginning of the service). Finally - stick to your guns, your integrity and be prepared to do the legwork! Its tough out there – Good Luck!
